Discover the Finnish sauna experience

The association of Finnish companies from the sauna and wellness sector under the label "Sauna from Finland" has spent years researching the different types of Finnish sauna experiences, sauna services and customer experiences. The aim was to identify the criteria that make the sauna experience great, memorable and of high quality.

Based on the research, eight basic values of the authentic Finnish sauna experience were defined that must be present throughout the experience - before, during and after the sauna session.

The Core Values define specific criteria for different kinds of sauna experiences which have been divided into four categories:

1. Sauna URBAN
2. Sauna NATURE & GARDEN
3. Sauna SPA
4. Sauna UNIQUE

Based on these established criteria, sauna service providers can create and develop sustainable sauna experiences that meet the standards of the best sauna experiences in the world. If the sauna experience meets the criteria, the quality certificate "Authentic Finnish Sauna Experience" can be awarded.
